If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

AMBITIOUS I am fortunate enough to have grown up with my Mom in my ear encouraging my siblings + I to bite off more than we could chew. Whenever we wanted something she'd reply with "Ok, so go after it" - truthfully, that attitude made me who I am today, both personally + professionally. I know no matter what it is, if I want it I have to go after it. There is always a way.

Why did you become a stylist?

My passion for the Beauty Industry began at my grandfather's Secaucus Salon. Sweeping hair as soon as I could walk and answering the phones any chance I had, I never wanted to leave that place!

What is your favorite thing about being a stylist?

Hmm, that's a tough one. I think my favorite part of my "job" is the energy in the chair. Talking with my clients about the good, the bad + even the ugly. We encourage each other + collaborate collectively. Being able to understand who my clients are on the inside, allows me to manifest the energy + bring out their best features on the outside.

If you had to pick one - what's your favorite hair style, cut or trend?

My favorite hair technique - balyage all the way. I love the ability to have limitless possibilities when creating - the placement of highlights can be modified any which way. The principle of the technique is that less is more, which I love.

I grew up in my grandfather’s Secaucus salon and loved the energy that radiated within those four walls - I aspired to one day recreate that somewhere, somehow.
